5 MINUTES WITH FI - OUR FAB, SPARKLY PR, BRAND AND SOCIAL EXPERT

What’s the first thing you did this morning?

As I do every morning today before I opened my eyes, I said “Thank you for the lovely sleep I just had, the roof over my head, my good health and that my family are all safe. Today is going to be great day”

What’s your star sign and what three traits of that sign that you feel you emulate most?

I am a Sagittarius. “Fun loving, sociable, friendly and determined to live life to the fullest” - oops that is 4, but I think that pretty much sums me up.

What political issue are you most passionate about?

I am not that strongly motivated by any particular political issue so I wouldn’t say that I am exactly ‘passionate’ about it, but what I am concerned about is our environment and making sure that the future for my children is positive and the world they live in is a safe and healthy place to live and explore.

What are 3 things you can’t live without?

My family, water and music (and coffee - oops that is 4 again)!

Name one country you’d love to visit?

Spain or the Greek Islands. They both look like beautiful places to visit and I think the food and culture at both would be incredible. Sorry - one extra again!!

What’s something you’re proud to say you overcame?

Talking to someone I have never met before used to totally terrify me. Crazy but true...I always used to put off calling someone or talking to someone I have never met before - now I have a little process I go through before I initiate a conversation and I am all good.

What has been your most memorable TLSE moment?

Our TLSE trip to Bali last year. It was an adventure, a discovery and a chance to laugh and just be me for a week. As a Mum & a wife you are often putting others before yourself and the week away with the TLSE girls was work, but it was also time for me and I am so grateful.

What’s a piece of advice you would have given to your past self?

Don’t sweat on the small stuff and go with the flow. My past self was very concerned about things having to be the way they were planned and not being flexible with change. I now realise change is a good thing and sometimes you need to let things flow and they will work out the way they are meant to. The longer you hang on to things the longer it takes for something better to come along.

What is one golden nugget of knowledge you would tell someone who wants to get their brand out in the world?

Know who you really are, have an interesting and exciting elevator pitch and know who your target audience is (not who you want them to be but really who they are). If you get that right - you know what you are offering, how to offer it and who you are offering it to. Oh and be patient. You might get lucky and hit the jackpot early but mostly it takes hard work and persistence to build your brand.

How has the TLSE journey been for you thus far?

Exceptional. I love coming to work everyday. I love the work I do, the gorgeous team of girls I work with and being able to ride this journey with Heidi. I started at TLSE thinking I was coming in to be Heidi’s assistant and work one day a week - I have never ever done that job, but I have had the opportunity to do lots of other jobs and be part of a growing, expanding business. Now I get to do the things I love the most everyday.

The landscape of PR has totally changed and with that comes a new approach. If you are thinking of launching or need a roll-out of a product, Fi will work together with you to get to the soul of your business to extract the messaging to build a strategic plan to roll out.
