MEET THE TEAM AT THE LIFE STYLE EDIT | PART ONE

They say,

“Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life,”

and here at TLSE we tend to fulfil that prophecy.

Every. Damn. Day.

We still can’t believe our luck in the team that comes together daily, weekly, even hourly to create beautiful content for beautiful people and the inspiration just keeps on coming through our big ‘ol sliding studio door.

As a result, our team continues to grow here at TLSE to meet the demands of our ever-growing and expanding business and things are moving at pace in exciting directions! We thought it time to introduce you to a few of our newest arrivals and catch up with TLSE team members you already know and love.

THE BOSS LADY | HEIDI ALBERTIRI

My favourite colour is:

"Nude… I’m practising being paired back and enjoying the warmth and calmness it brings. I usually love lots of colour but my go to right now is very muted."

What I’m loving right now:

“My team. I am in awe of how clever, funny and passionate they are about my brand. I cannot believe that they share the same love and vision for something that was a little spark of an idea of mine and that they work so hard every day to bring it to life.” #blessed

What gets me out of bed in the morning:

“Pilates and my to do list. I start the day early to be able to fit in as much as I possibly can in one day. Work is amazing every day. You just never know what you are walking into at TLSE; I just love what I do. TLSE is made up of all the pockets of my brain that makes me happy. From styling to PR to brands, to product imagery and strategy. It's all there every single day.”

What I just did that made me laugh:

“Fiona, our PR and Brand Queen absolutely cracks me up. She follows these hilarious Instagram accounts with animals and kids and at lunch time can be seen pissing herself laughing at them. It amuses me how much joy she gets from those little moments and her laughter is contagious.”

This is the podcast I’m listening to:

“I always go between hard core business and spiritual growth, depending on my mood. Currently I am listening to, ‘Intuition and Subtle Energies’ which talks about chakras and our own energy systems. Then, when I need something more business and motivating I go to, ‘Not your average Entrepreneur’ by Nathan Chan - where he interviews all different types of people on their business journeys. I love the stories of how people find their niche and how they approach it. The insights are fascinating.”

The fear I’m conquering at the moment:

“I think it is something I have just shifted and that is the fear of growing the business. The “how am I going to do this?” “ Can I do this?“ “Is this actually possible?” When I broke it down into baby, achievable results I was able to keep in check of everything. Before you realise it, you are already doing what you feared most.”

What I’m wearing:

“I just purchased The Studio Linen Dress by Kara Rosenlund who is one of my favourite curators of all time. It literally just arrived today so I am pretty chuffed about that… I have been in the process of curating a whole new wardrobe one piece at a time. I’m being measured about my purchases and making sure that each piece is something I love and will work with the rest of my wardrobe, which means that my closet is quite colour coordinated and lovely right now. Bring on Spring so we can break out the linens again.”

THE FAN GIRL | FIONA KEOGH

My favourite colour is:

“Duck egg blue AND white. Just like a parent you cannot choose your favourite child and I cannot choose between these 2 colours. I love them together and I love them on their own but they are both my favourite.”

What I’m loving right now:

“My favourite Courtney+ Babes roller ball perfume in Nirvana”

What gets me out of bed in the morning:

“I am most definitely NOT a morning person so getting out of bed in the morning is not an easy feat for me, however, knowing that every day is a new day that brings all sorts of new things - good, bad or fabulous. “Every day is like a present - you never know what is inside until you unwrap it and delve in.”

What I just did that made me laugh:

“Oh that is a really hard one because we laugh ALL day at TLSE. I often leave with a sore tummy from laughing so much. When you spend so much time together I am grateful to have a team of wonderful women with a similar sense of humour. Actually my coffee cup has a saying on it, ‘A day without laughter is a day wasted.’”

The fear I’m conquering at the moment:

“Birds … all my life, birds have terrified me.”

“Pink and green, but I’m loving terracottas and rusts at the moment, especially with pink!”

“My new team at TLSE and my growing plant collection”

What gets me out of bed in the morning:

“Usually my dog being needy… or coffee!”

What I just did that made me laugh:

“Laughing at myself trying to answer this question!”

“The fear of adulting and meeting expectations in that regard.”

What I’m loving right now:

“Currently loving dried flowers!”

“I'm a morning person, so I love getting up early and starting my day for any reason. It is a perk that I love my job.”

What I just did that made me laugh:

“I miss pronounced ‘shiitake mushrooms’ and the TLSE team wasn't going to let me forget it!”

The fear I’m conquering at the moment:

“Like most people, I fear pushing the boundaries and new things. Lately I've been more confident and not so afraid of making mistakes because at the end of the day it's just another lesson to learn and experience.”

What I’m wearing:

“I'm wearing a red long sleeve top with black jeans, black coat and white Veja sneakers.”

What I do at TLSE:

My favourite colour is:

“I love baby pink and sage! Trying not to wear too much pink though. Love love love sage (both the colour and the herb!!)”

What I’m loving right now:

“I’m loving my new apartment! I’ve just made the move from the northern beaches to the east and I’m loving the convenience - almost 2hrs extra in my day!! Living with two other amazing girls and having too much fun!”

What gets me out of bed in the morning:

“My bircher muesli! I’m literally obsessed - I try to go to bed as early as possible so I can fast track my time to breakfast in the morning (crazy I know!)”

What I just did that made me laugh:

“Every day when I sit down at work I wrap myself up in the rug I stole from my brother (don’t think he’ll ever notice). I look like a Grandma and think to myself,”How have I become so comfortable in the office so quickly?!”

“I’m not a super-dedicated podcast listener but I have been listening to Shameless occasionally! Also lots of women empowerment and women in business.”

The fear I’m conquering at the moment:

“Sneaky Emma Chegwyn is making me sign up to a running festival! I am for some reason petrified of running, so maybe I’m not actually conquering this fear quite yet…”

What I’m wearing:

“I’m wearing a polka dot skirt and my Veja sneaker which I love, with my favourite black knit off-the-shoulder jumper! Am practicing self control and not letting myself buy a second pair of sneakers (at least not just yet!)”

“Dependant on the day… orange, pale blue and lime green are all on my moodboard at the moment.”

What I’m loving right now:

“Liberty! I have just made a massive change to the way I work to include self-care and setting boundaries - something that can be tricky in the digital space.”

What gets me out of bed in the morning:

“Exercise with friends - weekly touch points that are the perfect combination to feed my body, mind and soul.”

What I just did that made me laugh:

“A little dance as I’d been sitting still at my laptop for too long :)”

“I’m currently swapping between ‘Feel Better, Live More. By Dr Rangan Chatterjee’ and ‘Work Like a Woman ’ by Mary Portas. Both are literally life-changing.”

“Change. This is a big one for me.”
