What's Your Summer Scent?
I don't know about you, but the past couple of years of Covid lockdowns, social distancing and limited face-to-face interactions meant I went for months without putting on makeup or using perfume. Thankfully, that's no longer our reality and life has returned to its somewhat usual end-of-year programming comprising of dinners, evenings out, and Christmas parties. But after so long doing without, I've been left scratching my head as to what my signature fragrance actually is (other than Rexona and shampoo!).
I'd always had a favourite scent when I was younger - Ralph Lauren's Romance when I was in high school, Christian Dior's J'adore for a reeeally long time while I was in my twenties, and then YSL's Parisienne when I was in my mid-late twenties getting married and having kids. Now I'm in my late thirties, navigating the shitstorm of divorce and slowly putting myself back out there, so I'm sure you can all understand why I want to smell really, really good, but even more than that, I want to find a scent that's just "me".
Gone are the days when I had all the time in the world to casually peruse the perfume aisles of DJs or Mecca (hello three kids, a house and a job), so when the girls called in a bunch of beautiful fragrances to shoot for our summer content, I was stoked because I think I've found my new scent... Can you guess which one it is?...
