MAMAKA - WHERE WE'D RATHER BE
Maybe it's the fact that we can't travel right at this moment, but we are feeling more wanderlust than ever before. So, you can imagine the mixture of envy and delight we experienced when we received news that Ovolo is adding a brand new location to their portfolio and in none other than our favourite destination, Indonesia.
Sitting beachfront and in the heart of bustling and newly-revitalised Kuta sits Mamaka. Officially opening in 2020 (c'moooon lifting of travel bans!!), the urban-style resort will include 191 designer rooms and suites, innovative food and drink concepts (yes, please), and unique experiences. In ancient Pali language, the name 'mamaka' refers to one who shows affection not only for oneʼs self, which is reflected in the blended design of traditional Balinese and the trademark Ovolo brand ethos of vibrant and dynamic spaces. So far, it's ticking all our boxes!
The resort will offer all-day dining and bar (yes, ALL. DAY.), a horizontal climbing wall, circuit training mechanical surf board for core strengthening (I don't know what that is, but I want to try it), and even an in-house surf school, taking advantage of it's beachfront location. There's also an on-site salon, so you can be sure you'll be getting the pampering you deserve!
