"My motto has always been to do things differently, and create a space that is unique to you”.
These are the exact words that Kayla Gex lives by. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, where she completed a bachelor of Fine Arts and Design at the University of La Verne, Kayla currently works as the Senior Stylist for Australian House & Garden Magazine.
With a broad style and a classic appeal, Kayla likes to intertwine both American and Australian influences to create the perfect design for you. Her passion for putting together spaces that tell a story about the old and the new, have allowed her to execute quality style over the years, and show the true roots of where her heart lies.
What sets Kayla apart from others is that she doesn’t believe that one needs an endless supply of expensive products to create a beautiful, warm home.
“I believe there is an art in creating a beautiful home on a budget, and I always accept the challenge”.
While constantly styling and shooting homes, Kayla has come across all the tricks and "Go To" moves along the way, and is very excited to share them with you! At the beautiful Few and Far, Kayla will be conducting a 2-hour workshop on Sunday, the 19th of August 2018, from 1pm-3pm, at Bowral. In addition to providing you with the fundamentals for styling pieces in your own home, Kayla will also get to have one on one time with you, ensuring you go home with the knowledge required to get that professionally styled look!
These workshops ensure you to gain as much knowledge and understanding of how interior decorating and designing works. Heidi Albertiri, Editor, and Stylist at The Life Style Edit, will also be conducting a workshop on the 25th of August, to help transform your home into something magical. Stay tuned for more details and ticket info.
