GET YOUR HOME WINTER READY, WITH HEIDI ALBERTIRI
When it comes to the Winter months, I hibernate. My love of styling and creating spaces has me refresh and restyle, but there is something about the winter months I love. ONE | Layer up.
As we do with our clothes, so it is with our homes. Add some throws and extra cushions in snuggly textures. A table cloth on the table instantly warms the place up. It is always easy to update your look at home with some fresh linens. Go for warmer tones for Winter. Dusty pinks, Mustards, Naturals and Winter greens are a match made in heaven.
TWO | Create a cosy nook.
I love a snuggle spot for Winter. Turn your favourite summer chair into your new winter hang by adding a throw, a rug and some mood lighting to cosy the space up. Match up your colours and you are ready for a hot cup of tea and a good book.
THREE | Set the mood.
Whether it's through dimming the lights, lighting a fire, getting some new lamps or simply lighting a candle, nothing says Winter like the soft flickering light of a fire.
FOUR | Bring the outside in.
Think branches and foliage for your winter blooms. The tones of Eucalyptus and gum leaves add a soothing mellow feel to any space. I love to set the table with a cloth and add my favourite pieces to make a little vignette to show off
Add some red wine, friends and some delicious food and you have a Winter hideaway that no one will want to leave.
