HOMES AWAY FROM HOME, WITH SEMINYAK'S WINDU VILLAS

As one is not quite enough, there are two Windu Villas that stand side by side within a private estate in Petitenget. Less than a kilometre from the beach, they are within walking distance of some of Bali’s best restaurants and bars, and only a short taxi-ride from Seminyak.

These unique luxury properties when booked together - six-bedroomed Windu Asri and four-bedroomed Windu Sari - offer from eight to ten bedrooms, and make an exceptional, fully staffed holiday getaway for groups of 20+ . I can just imagine this place filled with my favourite people relaxing, celebrating and enjoying the expanse of luxury that these villas bring.

At every corner you look, there is beauty that meets your eye. Nothing has been forgotten. The flowers fresh, standing grandly at the luxurious, front entrance, greet you along with the smiling staff that quickly become more like family and there is wonder from every moment on.

Both villas offer luxurious accommodation with spacious bathrooms attached, and with six of the ten rooms configured with flexible king or twin bed options, you can bring the kids if you so wish. The swimming pool is breathtaking and you cannot believe that whilst lazing on the sidelining daybeds, that its sole purpose and use is for you to dip in and out every time you feel the heat becoming too much to bare; surrounded by walled gardens brimming with lush tropical plants, you have arrived in paradise my friends.

Exquisite, colourful interiors are embellished with stunning artworks and soft furnishings, surround you at every turn. Nothing has been forgotten, modern comforts are provided in the form of state-of-the-art media rooms and music systems, and you want to unpack and never leave.

Attentive staff, (who now feel like they have become part of the family) including a private chef who concocts mouthwatering meals and snacks, along with the team of discreet butlers on hand 24 hours a day, take care of our every need. Not that we have too many; we are truly grateful to be here and not much else is needed to fill the cup. It is full.

The two villas each have their own distinct architectural styles and ambiance: Windu Asri echoes an elegant colonial era of Raffles-esque grandeur, with gleaming white surfaces, rattan sofas, plantation-style chairs, four-poster beds and plenty of space for breezy semi-outdoor living; we are spending our days on the built in day beds and sofas alongside the pool, looking out on the serene expanse in front of us.

Windu Sari complements its neighbour with a more traditional tropical Asian feel – fan-cooled living areas, louvred shutters, polished marble, warm teak flooring and vaulted roofs. Air-conditioned gyms – one in each villa – await those who feel the need to qualify lazy days spent sipping cocktails on sunny pool decks.

The space is perfect for a group workshop, a group of girlfriends, a pre wedding juant or a family gathering, but whatever or whoever you choose to spend time with here, know that magic will well and truly happen.
