LET'S HEAD EAST

As much as we wish we were heading East into the European Greece sunset (alongside the many others that are doing so, and have their images currently flowing through our Instagram feeds), we’ve headed East locally, directly to East 43.

Nestled in the beautiful suburb of Paddington, on the corner of the calming William and Underwood Street Intersection, lives East 43; a boutique store boasting an array of international designers, all unique and many exclusive to East 43 in Australia.

Occupying the rails are collections that are thoroughly sought out and selected by international Buyer, Ilkin Kurt. Each collection tells a story, and for Fall 2017, each collection holds a glimpse of a current season trend.

Speaking with Ilkin, we agreed that Red is certainly the colour of the season. Rich and enticing, it pulls you in by its colour, and holds you tight with its luxurious edge.

If you happen to let go, at least fight back for the floor-length skirt. The floor-length is taking a rise for Fall 2017, originally spotted throughout the Pre Fall 17 Celine collection; it’s the perfect go-to staple to team with a blazer for the upcoming wedding season (champagne, anyone?), or an oversized knit for a relaxed Sunday brunch. This one here, by Pas De Calais, entices us with a special touch - the contrast of silk and linen threads create a delicate, organic texture. Soft, gentle, and ever-so comfortable.

We’ve headed East, and we’re staying East.
