Colourful, high-vibe and totally on-point with its Mexicano aesthetic, Mexicola’s expansive interior features clashing prints and retro vibes that pay tribute to Acapulco, Mexico’s original party destination. And party destination this Seminyak favourite is!
Certainly not your average motel (and in fact, not a motel at all - don’t expect to sleepover!), renowned British born chef, Steven Skelly, serves up a modern take on traditional Mexican street foods and homemade delights. The menu is packed full of mouth-watering tostadas, empanadas, quesadillas and tacos, with lots of vegetarian options, too.
Sip on a Lychee Margo (vodka, lychee, rose and citrus) or a Macho No1 (Mexican smoked negroni with Herradura plata, Campari and sweet Vermouth) as you enjoy your meal - whatever tickles your taste buds, there's no shortage of delicious options. Finally, finish off with chilled watermelon with lime tajin or Mexican doughnuts with caramel sauce (we know, yum).
And from 9pm, you're left with two choices. Call it a night and head on home (stopping in for a $7 foot massage down the road) or put on your dancing shoes and dance the night away as Mexicola's centre turns into a tequilla-fuelled dance floor. Don't say we didn't warn you !!
