[ PART 2 ] THE SOUTH COAST EDIT: LET'S GO FOR A DRIVE, GET LOST, AND EXPLORE

With the ocean on one side of us and the rolling hills on the other, we reluctantly leave our cosy nook at the Soul of Gerringong to explore the coast.

First stop, we meander our favourite stores in Berry, with morning tea at the very famous Berry Donut van. Here you wait in anticipation for your hot cinnamon donuts - donuts that you eat too fast and burn the roof of your mouth with, but die with every blissful mouthful. Delicious.

Satiated, we head further south to explore beyond Berry. Driving through the green rolling hills of Woodstock, we head to the local dairy and lunch favourite, Milkhaus. After picking up some home made conserves for the pantry, we were off again. Late afternoon wanderings include a tipple and a visit to Bannisters, back to the Soul of Gerringong for dinner, and life is complete.

If you're in the area,

make sure to also pay these two a visit....

BLUE SWIMMER RESTAURANT, GERROA

The Blue Swimmer Restaurant provides the perfect blend of casual dining and culinary sophistication, where the Crooked River meets the ocean at Gerroa. Their chefs are always looking for new ways to show off the local south coast produce, and they pride themselves on sourcing the best wines and craft beers to complement their dishes. Their friendly staff welcome you to sit, relax and take in the beautiful surroundings. If you can't stay for long, they also have a takeaway window offering tasty items to-go if the call of the beach is too strong!

Located just off Crooked River Road 15 minutes south of Kiama, the Blue Swimmer is the perfect choice for all occasions.

FEW AND FAR, BERRY

"Travelling the world every year as designers, we had always dreamed of bringing everything we saw home. My husband, Danny and I opened our first ‘Few and Far’ store on the South Coast of NSW in September 2009. We had big dreams of creating a magical space full of wander and curiosity and set out to search the globe for unique and interesting pieces, each with its own special story to tell. We are passionate about interiors and products with soul and strive to present a product range that is both aspirational and affordable.

Now with four stores to it’s name, Few and Far is known for its curated collection of handcrafted, one-of-a-kind, and unique product ranges. Our collection is a mix of old and new and includes antiques from India, China, Indonesia and Turkey."
