The average Australian uses a MASSIVE 130kg of plastic each year, with only 12% being recycled. This means that 130,000 tonnes of plastic bags and bottles go to waste, finding their way into our waterways and oceans instead. While plastic may benefit consumers with short-term convenience, plastic can take up to 1000 years to degrade without human intervention and poses a major threat to the balance of earth’s precious ecosystem.
Liz and Geneva, a dynamic and ambitious mother-daughter duo, have created Australia’s first ever triple-milled, Italian style shampoo bar - appropriately named Shampoo With A Purpose. Their unique manufacturing process has allowed them to replace six bottles of shampoo and conditioner with a powerful little bar that will not only help you save money but also reduces the amount of plastic, water and time used with each wash.
The Shampoo With A Purpose range is available in four different bars, each to suit a different hair type: the O.G., Volume, Dry or Damaged, and Colour Treated. Not sure which one is best for your hair? Give their sample pack a go. The bars are pH balanced and soap-free meaning that it won’t dry or tangle your hair and instead heal and strengthen damaged hair.
The versatile bar is a combination of shampoo and conditioner, designed to be used as a standalone (no other products necessary) dependent on your hair type. The bar can substitute as a rinse-out hair treatment when left in your hair for more than 10 minutes. Added bonus: they can also be used as a natural and cleansing all-over body bar!
The bars are packaged in a cardboard box decorated with cute hand-drawn pictures of Liz and Geneva’s friends and family adding a whimsical and personal touch to the design.

Run the bar over wet hair and use your hands to lather up
Leave in your hair for a few minutes
Wash out thoroughly
It is recommended that you first use the bar with your existing conditioner and slowly cut down to just using the bar to help your hair detox from prior products.
