A pitstop for locals and return visitors, The Jungle Trader is in the perfect spot to visit on your way to the beach.

Relatively new, The Jungle Trader is a mecca of treasures; the shelves, and tables are filled to the brim with homewares, fashion, crafts, accessories and curios from around the Indonesian archipelago.

Picture the treasures and goods collected from voyages in times gone by. Some indigenous, some developed - all interesting, beautiful and sometimes quirky. Brass, wood, raffia, textiles, stone, art, gold, silver, woven, weaved, printed, embellished, vintage, traditional, old and new all take pride of place in the beautiful store.

Make sure you head there when you have some time free, you'll want to wander, explore; and make sure you don't miss anything. It is hard to leave without a purchase, everywhere you look there is something gorgeous that has you oo'ing and ahh'ing. It is a stylists dream, and I wanted to leave with one or two of everything.

With smiling staff and friendly conversations, we spent way to much time and money there. But hey, that is what work trips and shopping adventures are for, are they not?
