THE SKINCARE EDIT

Has winter well and truly taken it's toll on your skin? Here at TLSE, we are passionate about the importance of skincare - but like everyone, we sometimes ditch the routine and opt for a quick makeup wipe instead (and our skin pays for it). But don't worry, we've compiled a list of some of our fave products to get you excited about your skincare routine again - and with products like these, it will become the highlight of your day.

With the growing number of skincare products on the market it can become quite confusing what order is the best to apply your skincare. You may have the best skincare products and ingredients, however, if you are applying them in the wrong order you might just be preventing the best results.

3 rules to follow

  1. Apply thinnest to thickest texture wise. This will help with product absorption into your skin and make sure that you're getting the most out of your skincare routine.

  2. Water based products should always be layered underneath oil-based products. This is important for product absorption as well as how it feels on your skin!

  3. Lastly, mixing low and high PH products together is a big no-no! For example, Vitamin C and Retinol don't layer well and shouldn't be used at the same time.

Aesthetics Rx Revitalising Foaming Cleanser: gently cleanses away makeup and oil, leaving the skin feeling fresh and hydrated. Infused with hydrating actives to retain moisture and soothe and irritation on the skin.

C Serum 23%+Daily Moisturiser: if you're looking for the ultimate serum and moisturiser combination, the Aesthetics Rx C Serum 23% and the Daily Moisturiser will leave your skin looking and feel rejuvenated.

Aesthetics Rx H20 Hydrating Balm: is a soft, fragrance free balm formulated to protect, heal and regenerate the skin. If your skin is feeling dehydrated and uncomfortable from wearing a facial mask, lather it up and leave on the skin for 30 minutes to soothe and calm irritation.

Skinstitut

Microbiome Micellar Water: the perfect first cleanse, instantly wipes away daily grime, pollution and makeup. The water-based formula is enriched with Aloe Vera, Green Tea, Vitamin B5 and Coconut water, to keep your skin happy and healthy.

Gentle Cleanser: perfect for the delicate type! Purifies, calms and hydrates the skin without any irritation. Infused with Green Tea extract, Goji Berry and Vitamin E to calm and hydrate the skin whilst cleansing away makeup residue.

L-Lactic Cleanser: a deeply hydrating and nourishing cleansing gel that assists with combating pigmentation and balances out uneven skin tone. Rich in B vitamins, antioxidant rich super fruits and vitamin E to strengthen the skin’s integrity and re-balance hydration levels, making it suitable for all skin types.

Glycolic Cleanser 12%: fuelled with AHA’s to decongest and exfoliate whilst stimulating new cell turnover, leaving pores refreshed and refined, giving an all over glow. If you’re looking for a deep all over clean, this is the one for you!

I really enjoyed reading the article on The Skincare Edit, especially the section that highlighted the importance of layering products in the correct order to maximize their effectiveness. That detail stood out to me because it’s something I’ve often wondered about but never fully understood, and it makes the whole routine feel more intentional rather than random. I also appreciated the discussion on balancing active ingredients with gentle care, which made me reflect on how personalization is key in skincare. Reading it got me curious about how different skin types respond to similar routines, and it reminded me of times when I was breaking down complex concepts for assignments, sometimes turning to guidance from New Assignment Help Australia to organize…
