TLSE SPRING FLOWER GUIDE
Flowers are just one of those things I can't do without in my life. Whether it's foraged stems from a morning walk or store bought beauties that draw me in, flowers are a must-have item and there's no better time to indulge in them than Spring.
WHAT DO I DO WITH MY FLOWERS NOW THAT I HAVE THEM?
Now that you have your beautiful blooms, there are a few important things that you can do to keep them in the best shape as possible...
Whether you buy flowers from a store or forage them on a walk, always trim the stems before you pop them into fresh, clean water.
I like to keep my flowers in vases looking as natural as possible, so I tend to trim stems at different lengths to create natural flow and movement. Except if you receive a bunch already designed and tied off, in that case, just give the stems a trim.
The vessel for the flowers should be proportionate to the flowers, if you're not sure think 2/3, 1/3 ratio - this will take the guess work out of it. This method always works and your flowers will look great every time.
I try to keep one type of flower to a vase. For home as a general rule, I don't tend to mix large displays, small little posies work better with a mix of things.
It's always nice to have a little fragrance next to your bed or in the bathroom, like a little sprig of jasmine in a tiny vase or bottle.
Remember flowers make all the difference, whether you are buying them for yourself or sending them to someone, they will always leave you feeling good and give the space you're in a little life.
