Heard of DG Designs? If you haven't, you're in for a treat. If you were in need of any inspiration to kickstart your 2021 goals and really get your creativity going, Dom Gauci might just be the point of reference you've been searching for. In 2017, Gauci set herself a challenge - draw one illustration a day for an entire year. This daily goal soon had a much bigger effect: propelling the young artist into a highly successful career and very own art label - DG Designs.

Raised in Melbourne but originally from the Big Apple (NYC), Gauci has spent her entire life surrounded cosmopolitan hubs of creativity and vibrancy, which has no doubt become an intrinsic part of her work. DG Designs was designed for those that seek to inspire - the movers and shakers looking to surround themselves with pop culture legends both past and present. The striking digital prints boast urban colours, often paying homage to pro-sports stars, celebrities, rappers, fashion, animals, style icons - the list goes on.

If you kept up with The Block throughout 2020, you might have seen some of the DG Designs collection in House 2 (Sarah and George's), which featured geometric interpretations of Kris Jenner, Michael Jordan, Lady Gaga, and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

Gauci has gone on to work with well-known brands like Barbie, Westfield and MAC Cosmetics to create curated pieces and ranges, bringing her geometric, pop culture work to life in both commercial as well as residential spaces.

Top Pick

Introducing...Mr. Bill Tribute. Paying homage to a classic Aussie delicacy, this piece has to be one of our favourites here at TLSE - can you blame us? Printed on Lustre Ilford Prestige Museum Quality Paper, this print is available in four different sizes, and is a geometric take on the class Bubble 'O Bill.

So, whether you're an art buff, or simply in search of that little kick to motivate you - Guaci's drive and subsequent success is a testament to just how far passion and dedication can propel you in the direction you're aiming for.
