10 FITZROY PLACE, SURRY HILLS
On a night out with the girls I came across this gorgeous old warehouse. And without knowing why, I made some calls to track down how I could possibly rent this beautiful old girl out.
Working full time at this time, It seemed a ridiculous whim but as is with everything in my life, my path leads me and I look for clues along the way to see which direction I am meant to be going.
By chance, or not, my position at Home Beautiful ended and I was suddenly jobless, weeks before Christmas and my work world turned upside down. I was devastated, my job and team that I had grown to love, gone in light speed, just like that, my secure little world that I had so given so much to just dumped me. With Christmas upon us and a holiday in view I decided to take a well deserved break and ponder my next step.
On return to Sydney in January, I took a bold move to join all my loves into one and create The Life Style Edit, a name that I had registered long before knowing what I would actually do with it. And so it began. Shortly after that the warehouse reappeared on my radar and with a phone call and a gut feel the deal was sealed.
Like much of my life, it exists on instincts, taking a leap of faith and trust in the unknown, and Number 10 Fitzroy Place is testament to that.
Number 10 is now home to The Life Style Edit HQ. And with some of the coolest pop up shops booked in the coming months, I think it is safe to say this old girl has got some life in her yet.
Number 10 is a collaborative space and with a studio area perfect for small shoots and media launches, with our homewares and retail products adorning the walls and floors, it is fast becoming a little hub of creativity and abundance.
We are in love and really enjoying growing into what the space needs from all of us. We are now all in this journey together. We get to be surrounded by beautiful things and do what we love.
