There's no shortage of local designers producing vibrant and amazing quality home textiles. We've pulled together a few of our favourite blanket makers who you can call on for a bedroom or sofa upgrade to keep you extra toasty this winter.
SAGE x CLARE
Our favourite bright and colourful brand, Sage x Clare, always delivers on colour and texture. From jewel toned linens, to ornate tasseled throws, their blankets will add richness to any room. This season, think pattern and colour in extra bright colours such as bold green and pink stripes with multi-coloured pom poms (as pictured above).
SLOW DOWN STUDIO
Marc Hendrick is an Australian living in America who is showcasing emerging and established artists via his design platform, Slowdown Studio. The Los Angeles-based brand produces statement blankets adorned with the work of artists from around the world and woven from American-grown cotton. Slowdown Studio blankets and throws can be purchased locally from Koskela and also Maker's Market online.
ADAIRS
A beautiful textured blanket will add layers of warmth into your bedroom, whilst also adding a decorative element. Adairs' collection of blankets and throws feature a range of weights, hues, materials and luxuriously soft weaves, providing an immersive selection to suit personal taste, comfort and level of warmth this winter. The Ultrasoft blanket, our personal favourite, is available in seasonal colours, patterns and hues and a must-have this season.
